Internship with Tianjin University every year

Prof. Takuto Araki (Faculty of Engineering Science)

As an example in 2016
Invitation of 9 graduate students and 1 associate professor from Tianjin University

We invited 9 graduate students and 1 associate professor from Tianjin University, a sister university of YNU and a national key university in China, with a support from JST Sakura science plan in November 20-28, 2016.

During the 9-day stay, the delegation of Tianjin University, along with the faculty members and graduate students of YNU, visited National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and Nissan Research Center of Nissan Motor Co., and observed cutting-edge research and research facilities. In addition, using the latest experimental equipment of YNU, they experienced basic experiments on improving the cooling performance of lithium-ion batteries and the performance of polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFC). At YNU, Prof. Araki and Assistant Prof. Morokuma gave a lecture on trends in new energies such as lithium-ion batteries (LIB) and lectures on how to improve the performance of polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFC). The dispatched students examined various implementation methods and experienced the experiment. After these activities, they summarized the results, reported the results at the final presentation meeting. Finally, the closing ceremony was held to complete the program.
